Set in beautiful Devon countryside with rolling fields all around. The Village Hall has two rooms for hire, each with their own separate kitchen. The main hall is spacious and suitable for a range of sports and fitness classes, large parties and celebrations. It has a large stage area making it ideal for concerts and gigs. The main hall is ? square meters and features level access from the front and rear carparks. The The smaller room is partially carpeted and suitable for meetings, parties and other similar activities, also with level access. |
Abbotskerswell Village Hall History
The Village hall was first opened in 1976 to cater for the needs of an ever growing community. After much fundraising the site was bought for £1,000 and construction soon began. Very soon there was a playgroup, youth club, badminton club, short mat bowls and bridge club. Over time different groups have come and gone but the hall remains a place of calm in the ever changing world around it. Over the years the hall has been much extended and improved. Most recently benefitting from a new roof and solar panels.
The Village Hall is a charity, run by a committee of trustees that is largely made up of representatives of groups who currently use the hall.
